I spotted this clip years ago when it just had a thousand or so views. I figured xara87x would have put up more videos by now but no, I would be wrong. I call her by her Youtube handle because that’s the only thing I can find out about this girl! She must not take compliments well because she disabled the comments and wrote this as the description of the video.

1.5 million views later I’m still not sick of her cover of Tamia’s Officially Missing You. Her vocals roll smoothly over the acoustics of her guitar plucking. I respect the humility but damn! Wish she would utilize her talent.

Duke is a pop artist out of Los Angeles. I’m not sure who is creditted for the production on Funky Fresh but this track bumps. The video accompanies it well. Duke stood out to me because his style is refreshing, contemporary and fun. We collaborated on a track for my upcoming album The Effect so be sure to look out for that.
I missed last Music Monday because I was moving but here we go.
I hate Miley Cyrus for obvious reasons. However, Ahmir and David Sides killed this cover of her song “The Climb.” I really do the like the song though. The lyrics inspire me to keep climbing, as corny as that sounds. Ahmir is an acapella group out of Boston and David Sides is known for his Youtube clips of his piano renditions of popular songs. Ahmir’s vocals bring back nostalgia of Boyz II Men and that alone was enough for me to make “The Climb” this weeks Music Monday post.
