Lupe Fiasco – Coulda Been
24 05 2010Today’s Music Monday joint is an oldie but one of my favorites. Lupe is one of top 5 doing it right now and this track is a testament as to why. On this joint he speaks about what he could’ve been if he wasn’t who he is now. He does that with such flow and lyrical skill that it never ceases to amaze me every time I listen to this joint. The message is ill too. Everybody serves a purpose in this crazy world. Vibe with me on this one.

APA Awareness Forum 5/20/10

May is Asian Pacific American heritage month and this event going down tonight honors that. I will be performing in front of politicans, judges and other official sounding people haha. I’m sincerely honored that they reached out and asked me to perform at such an important event and hope that I can show them a side of “being Asian” that they may not have seen before.

Styves Goupil – How To Say Goodbye (Cover)
19 05 2010The original How To Say Goodbye is written and sung by Paul Tiernan. It is by no means a hugely popular song. I can’t even seem to find it on Youtube but a beautiful song nonetheless. I first heard it watching Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist and went straight to Google to find out what song it was. I gotta say I like the sound of Paul’s original guitar more than the keyboard in this cover but Styves Goupil sings his rendition beautifully. Let me know if you guys like this one as much as I do!

JS – Officially Missing You (Cover)
3 05 2010This cover really blew me away. A while back I posted xara87x‘s version of Tamia’s Offically Missing You and to be frank, I think JS rocked this better than I’ve ever heard anyone rock it. They’re apparently twins from Australia and they have a lot of Youtube videos but this one stood out to me. They hit the notes like it was a studio recording. I ran it back a few times so I suggest you do the same.
