SJ dropped this off in my inbox. He mashed up the track I’m Ready off of my album The Effect and put my verse along with DFD’s and Jay’s on Epik High’s track The Future. The finished product is pretty ill but check it out for yourself.

The Sound Effect (The Effect Acapellas)

First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every one of you that have supported my latest album The Effect. It is by far my proudest piece of work to date and I’ve been receiving great feedback and that has been fueling my fire since.
Now, what I did here is a little project I have titled The Sound Effect. It’s a little bit of appreciation for the DJs and producers that really fuck with me. It’s the entire acapella sessions for The Effect. The general public won’t care about this but DJs will be able to create mash ups with whatever verses they want and producers can show me what they got with putting new twists on these songs.
I’m very excited myself to see what kind of remixes will come from this. If you create something dope with these acapellas email a link to info@muzoent.com and who knows what may come of it?

Verseatile feat. Decipher – You Can Bring It
10 06 2011This song was released a few months back when Verse dropped his World Apart EP. He put out a video that didn’t have either of us in it because that’d what made sense at the time considering we were on opposite coasts and couldn’t put together a video that did the song justice. Well, a few weeks ago I was in LA and we decided we needed to put the right visuals together for this track. The rest is history. Let me know what yall think!

3 06 2011You might know Bart Kwan from his videos on Youtube as Unco Same or Park Yoo but the comedian is dipping his feet into this rap thing. The big homie IZ reached out to do a song and it ended up being this joint. When I got the mixed down track a few weeks ago there was a surprise on there. To be honest I haven’t heard of Alyssa Marie before this but YO, she went all the way in. Pause. Some serious lyrics in this jaun. Let me know what you think.

2 06 2011“It Was Written” is the first release from the Mani x JL collaboration mixtape Pull Haul Junkies. The Damian Marley sample on the hook is so mean and fits the beat very well. Each emcee tears this thing apart. They got the legend, Jin, to bless the track and that’s definitely a good look. Lyricks anchors the track with some mean truth in his 16. Kollaboration for Japan: Open Mic Benefit

Tomorrow evening I will be in NYC at the NY Kollaborations Open Mic event. This shows proceeds will be donated to Japan relief. This show is the last show I have on this long leg of shows I’ve done stemming from hometown Philly shows all the way to Los Angeles. It feels coming back to the NY for something that will help people in need. Presale tickets have sold out but limited tickets will be available at the door so come through. Decipher – Smile While I Bleed
19 05 2011When I heard Kanye West’s track “Devil in a New Dress” I was so inspired by the B!nks produced track. The Smokey Robinson sample cries the words “Don’t have to say a word” and that really spoke to me. I’m a friendly person but I don’t talk about my struggles with even my best friends because if I hate anything in this world it’s pity. Music gives me an outlet to talk about my pain.
I titled the song “Smile While I Bleed” because even when I feel tortured I clench my teeth and put on a cool face. This track is to let you know sometimes I’m bleeding. This was a very personal song for me so I directed and edited the video myself. Yongie Phresh, JP Lee, and Kenni Phong helped with the camera work. The video was shot completely in Philadelphia, naturally.
My favorite part of the song may be the end of the track where one of my favorite artists Jason Min added electric guitar cries. I wanted to incorporate his talent because my pride won’t let me cry but I wanted that guitar to cry for me.This one was really for me, but let me know what you think. Free download here.

Peter Choi – Try Me Out Dance Video
18 05 2011The homie Peter Choi choreographed some splash to Neyo’s joint Try Me Out. Peter is really about this dance shit. We call him “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” around my way because he’s always dancing and that’s wsup. When you’re passionate as he is about what you do you wouldn’t stop either. Might need to get the lil homie in a video of my own. What yall think?
